Broeren, Benjamin J. (3 Feb 1891 – 30 Jan 1973)
Benjamin J. Broeren, age 83, of 1503 7th Avenue, Bloomer, passed away suddenly
at his home January 30, 1972.
He was born February 3, 1891 at Thorp, Wisconsin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore
Broeren. He was united in marriage to Loretto Tormey in 1916 at Neillsville,
Wisconsin. He worked for E. J. Crane Company for 56 years, the past 44 years in
Bloomer. He was a charter member of the Bloomer Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by one son, Jean C. of Thorp Wisconsin; two daughters, Mrs.
Donald (Mary) Nelson of Bloomer and Mrs. Earl (Cecil) Henneman of Eau Claire;
three brothers, Herbert of Milwaukee, Elmer of Tiskilwa, Illinois, and Robert of
Thorp; three sisters, Mrs. Harriet Pagel of Thorp, Mrs. Ann Clancy of Milwaukee
and Mrs. Cecelia Carney of Springfield, Massachusetts; also eight grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretto, and three brothers, Theodore Jr.,
Frank and Henry.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 3, 1973 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s
Catholic Church, Bloomer, with the Reverend Joseph Ferron officiating. Interment
was made in the North Catholic Cemetery.
