Martin Wisniewski, 73, died at Victory Memorial Hospital Saturday morning.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 13, 1973 at St. Hedwig’s Chapel,
with burial being made in the parish cemetery (New St. Hedwig’s).

Wisniewski, Martin (11 Nov 1899 – 10 Feb 1973)
Martin Wisniewski, 73, pass away of pneumonia at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley, on February 10, 1973. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Chapel
on February 13 at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend John Puerner officiating.
Pallbearers were four grandsons, Dennis and Dale Wisniewski, Larry and Terry
Slowiak, and two nephews, Fred Wisniewski and Jerome Penk.
Mr. Wisniewski, a retired farmer, was born November 11, 1899 at Prentice,
Wisconsin. In 1922 he went to Chicago, Illinois. In 1926 he moved to Lublin on a
farm, and in 1971 he moved to Thorp, where he retired. On April 25, 1922 he was
united in marriage to Della Penk at St. Stanislaus Church, Lublin.
Surviving are his wife, Della; one son, Leonard of Lublin; one daughter, Marie
Pietczek of Sandoval, Stelter and Josephine of Chicago, Illinois, Frances Reidy
of Milwaukee; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Attending the funeral from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Reidy, Milwaukee,
Mr. and Mrs. Larry
Slowiak, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Slovensky, Fridley, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs.
Adam Czerwinski, Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Leander Fohl, Marshfield, Al Przybylski,
Kay Parker, Estelle Berg, Mrs. Mike Przybylski, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Badzinski,
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Drehmel, all of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis
Wisniewski, Wausau, and also folks from Lublin, Gilman, Stanley, Owen and
Withee.
