Ryniec, Leo C. (2 Jul 1897 – 1 Feb 1973)
Leo C. Ryniec entered rest February 1, 1973 at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley. He was born July 2, 1897 in Warszawa, Poland. He came to America in
1898 and lived in Chicago. In 1944 he was united in marriage to Helen Kowieski,
daughter of the late John Kowieski and Juliann Kowieski of Stanley. In 1945 he
purchased a farm in the town of Withee, and farmed until retirement in 1963.
He was a member of the Christian Science Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts.
Funeral services were held February 3, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. at the Thorp Funeral
Home Chapel. Officiating was Mrs. Sylvia Nelsin, Christian Science Reader. Mrs.
Hazel Skul was soloist. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Withee, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Olson,
two sons, Donald of Janesville and David of Tacoma, Washington; one son-in-law,
Gerald; two daughters-in-law, Jeannie and Maureen; and five grandchildren; also
two brother and three sisters of Chicago, Illinois.
