Nitz, Charles E. (26 Nov 1892 – 11 Feb 1973)
Charles E. Nitz, 80, Route 1, Stanley, died Sunday morning at Luther Hospital,
Eau Claire.
Mr. Nitz was born November 26, 1892 at Darcy, Wis., and married Merle Glover
April 14, 1917, in Hancock, Minnesota. They moved here in 1924 and farmed in the
Town of Worden (Clark Co.). They retired in 1972 and moved to the Town of Edson.
He was a member of Stanley Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Alvin, Eau Claire, Wayne, Stanley,
Heber, Meridian, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Booth, Chippewa Falls, Mrs.
Vernon LaMarche, Stanley; 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. at Stanley Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Larry
Morland officiating. Burial was in Worden (Brethren) Cemetery.
