Dean C. Kile, son of Mrs. John Kile, of the Malheur National Forest Staff in
John Day, is one o f27 practicing foresters from nine states learning the latest
information on application of forest harvest systems in relation to
environmental factors, at Oregon State University, Corvallis.
The 10-week institute, which will continue through March, si designed to teach
foresters the latest techniques in such fields as aerial photography, landscape
design, engineering, watershed management and other factors in timber harvest
planning.
