Freedlund, Virginia “Jenny” Ann (10 February 1952 – 27 August 2021)
Virginia “Jenny” Ann Freedlund passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at House
of the Dove in Marshfield after a short battle with cancer; surrounded by her
loving family.
Jenny was born on February 10, 1952, to Charles and Vivian (Scott) McKeel of
Babcock. Jenny married her high school sweetheart, Larry D. Freedlund, on
February 5, 1972. They lived in Colorado Spring, CO before moving to Babcock,
where they started their family. Jenny stayed home raising their two kids until
they were older. Jenny had various jobs including, 3M in Nekoosa, Hardees in
Wisconsin Rapids, and Beavers Dime Store in Nekoosa. She enjoyed helping
customers at the Dime Store the most. She retired after 20 years in 2018. Jenny
enjoyed working in her flower beds, crocheting, traveling to various parts of
the United States with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jenny is survived by her loving husband Larry; her two children Stacy (Ian
Pence) Freedlund-Schmidt of Wisconsin Rapids and Chris (Deena) Freedlund of Port
Edwards; her nine granddaughters Taylor, Blake, Sophie, Paige, Justine, Riley,
Vivian, Allison, and Patience; great-granddaughter Crimsyn and great-grandson
Cooper. She is also survived by a brother Phillip (Mary) McKeel, brother-in-law
Scott (Candy) Freedlund, and sister-in-law Fae Harrison.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Vivian (Scott) McKeel,
father-and mother-in-law Lawrence and Lois Freedlund, sister Sandy McKeel, and
brother-in-law Dillard Harrison.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
September 1, 2021, at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville. A private
burial will take place in Babcock Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Jenny would like donations made to House of the Dove.
