Zukowski, Felix B. (14 Jan 1911 – 24 Feb 1973)
Felix B. Zukowski, 63, died of an apparent heart attack at his home on Gilman
SR, Saturday morning, February 24, 1973. Funeral services were held at Saints
Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, Monday, February 26, 1973. Father
Frederick J. Brost officiated at the ten a.m. service, with burial being made in
the Old St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Thorp.
Pallbearers were nephews: Ron Fudala, Joe Bielecki, Mike Zukowski, Len Lipinski,
Steve Jensen and Ron Sopiarz.
Mr. Zukowski was born January 14, 1911 at Thorp, Wisconsin. On January 7, 1947
at St. Hedwig’s Church in Thorp he was united in marriage to Mathilda Sopiarz.
He grew up in the Thorp area and after their marriage, they moved to the Gilman
area, where they have lived and farmed since. He was a member of Saints Peter
and Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mathilda; one brother, Tony (Sam) of Chicago; five
sisters, (Diane) Mrs. John Bielecki, (Dorothy) Mrs. Peter Asselin, both of
Thorp, (Clara) Mrs. Adam Fudala of Gilman, (Veronica) Mrs. George Grabowski of
Chicago, (Alyce) Mr. Frank Cervenka of Bloomington, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
