Hasz, Dawn (Initiation - 1979)
Sigma Gamma Zeta II, an honorary for adult students, has been reestablished at
UW-Eau Claire. The organization will initiate new members on Saturday, April 28.
In that group is Dawn Hasz, Granton.
The first Sigma Gamma Zeta was a service-honorary chartered in 1940. The
honorary was then exclusively for women who had returned to college after
periods of absence for various reasons, including, marriage, family needs,
health, or financial problems. The organization was disbanded in 1965.
Sigma Gamma Zeta II is open to men and women and at this stage the service
aspects have been dropped and the organization has become a social and academic
honorary.
