Clintsman, Floyd (16 November 1894 – 13 April 1979)
Floyd Clintsman, 84, a former Greenwood resident, was killed Friday, April 13,
in Homosassa, Fl., after being struck by a car while crossing a street.
Clintsman had been living in Homosassa the past six years.
He was born November 16, 1894, in York Center and attended Clark County schools.
He farmed in the Towns of Eaton and Warner, retiring in 1953. He also operated
food concessions at fairs. His first marriage was to Helen Moore, April 19,
1931, in Normal, Ill. She died March 18, 1969. His second marriage was to
Cynthia Provost, November 14, 1972, in Neillsville.
Surviving besides his second wife is one son, Robert, Greenwood; a brother,
Francis, Greenwood; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Leininger of Fond du Lac and Mrs.
Celia Berthold of Minnesota; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
And the deceased is a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood.
The Rev. Lorinda Sanford officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Gary Schultz was the vocalist and was accompanied by Mrs. Allen Dallman.
Pallbearers were Ted Clintsman, Donald Berthold, Kenneth Braeger, George Moore,
Gerald Jollivette and Al Hemersbach. The Rinka Funeral Home of Greenwood was in
charge of arrangements.
