Edens, Erna (12 July 1896 – 22 April 1979)
A former resident of the York Center area, Erna Edens, 82, passed away Sunday,
April 22, in an Oconomowoc nursing home. The deceased was born on July 12, 1896,
in Plymouth and moved at an early age with her parents to York Center. She
received her education there and later moved to Milwaukee where she was a
clothing store clerk for many years.
She is survived by two brothers, William of Walworth and Hans of Hinckley, Mn.,
and one sister, Mrs. Donald (Wera) Kier, Marshfield. Preceding her in death were
two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday, April 25, from Gilbertson’s
Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. William Noble of the Neillsville-Granton
United Methodist Churches was to officiate, and burial was to be in the York
Center Cemetery.
