Honzik, Peter L. (26 February 1908 - 12 April 1979)
Peter L. Honzik, 71, of Rt. 1 Neillsville was pronounced dead on arrival at the
Neillsville Memorial Hospital, April 12. Honzik was born in Chicago on February
26, 1908, to Peter and Anna (Cajthaml) Honzik. He received his education there
and then served as an apprentice electrician and worked in Illinois for several
years. In 1930, he moved to the Town of Levis and began farming and plying his
electrical trade. On November 6, 1940, he married Ethel Morris in Neillsville
ceremonies. He was a member of the Neillsville United Church of Christ.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Patricia) Springstad
of Neillsville and Beverly Honzik of West Union, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Mae
Juntunen and Mrs. Charles (Libby) Matousek of Neillsville and Mrs. Mildred Holub
of Alma Center and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Joe and Jerry.
Funeral services for Mr. Honzik were held Monday afternoon from the United
Church of Christ in Neillsville with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating, and burial
was to be in the Dells Dam Cemetery with the Gesche Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
