Mayor Richard "Bubba" Wnek signed a City of Thorp 99-year lease contract allowing the construction of the future Veterans Remembrance Park at the corner of south Adams and west Hill Streets in Thorp. This area can be seen by those traveling on Highway 29.

Preliminary work has begun to gather the names of Thorp area veterans who served their country during any wars. Please share the names of family and friends who served, in any branch of the military during WWI to the present time.
