The Reverend F. H. Sprengler, who has served as pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran
Church at Dorchester for more than 27 years, and Mrs. Sprengler, plan to move to

takes over.
Reverend Sprengler has served in the ministry for 42 years, having parishes in
Thorp, Stanley, and Reseburg, before going to Dorchester in January of 1946.
Reverend F. H. Sprengler was born May 21, 1906 in Carver County, Minnesota. He
attended Concordia College at St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from Concordia
Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri in 1931. He was married in August 1932
to Orlena Roesler at Thorp. They have two children, The Reverend Donald
Sprengler, Antigo, and Mrs. Lawrence (Shirley) Gostomaki, Thorp.
