Grimm, Ernest (? – 3 May 1979)

Ernest Grimm, 77, Fairchild, a former Washburn resident, passed away suddenly Thursday, May 3, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

He was born in Chicago, where he grew to manhood, and married Clara Arnes, March 12, 1929. He farmed in the Town of Washburn several years, then moved to Stratford where he was employed for several years. He later moved to Fall Creek and recently moved to Fairchild.

Survivors include his wife of Fairchild; two sons, Ernie of Alsip, Ill., and Karl, Fall Creek; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Harriet Lightfoot of Lakeland, Fl., Margret Smith of Valparaiso, Ind., and Bertha Behnke, Chesterton, Ind.

Services were held Monday at McKenzie Funeral Home, Oak Forest, Ill., with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Blue Island, Ill.

Several old friends and neighbors from this vicinity attended the visitation.
