Miss Elizabeth Ann Costello and George James Possley, chose St. Patrick’s
Church, Delmar, Iowa, for their Nuptial Mass on Saturday, April 14, 1973.
Revered T. J. Lew performed the one p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Costello, Delmar, Iowa, and Mr. and
Mrs. James Possley, Thorp, Wisconsin.
The bride wore opaque chiffon over satin gown styled with high neckline, bishop
sleeves with a softly gathered floor length skirt. She wore a mantilla veil and
carried a crescent cascade of pin, roses with accent of white daisies.
The bride’s sister, Madonna McKenzie, was her matron of honor, and bridesmaids
were Edith Possley, sister of the groom, and Phyllis Schroeder. The matron of
honor wore a flocked organza over pink crepe gown and the bridesmaids wore
flocked organza over lavender crepe gowns, styled with high neckline, slightly
raised bodices and bishop sleeves. They carried crescent cascades of lavender,
pink and white daisies.
Bob Lesniewski, cousin of the groom, was best man, and groomsmen were John
Costello, brother of the bride, and Mike Kobylarczyk, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Paul Costello, the bride’s brother, and Paul McKenzie,
brother-in0law of the bride.
A reception was held in St. Patrick’s Hall.
The bride attended Delmar High School and Mount Mercy College, and is a
secretary with L.T.I career Education Center. The groom attended Thorp High
School and UW-Eau Claire, and is a math teacher with Cedar Grove High School.
After a wedding trip to New Orleans, they will make their home at 3637 S. 12th
Street, Apt. 5, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
