ROBERT “BOB” E. HULETT Robert “Bob” E. Hulett, 75, of Neillsville died Sunday,
May 26, 2019, at the Neillsville Care and Rehab.
Robert Eugene Hulett was born June 14, 1943, in Hixton, the son of Francis and
Vera (Gates) Hulett. After his schooling, he moved to Thorp where he worked for
a cheese factory. There he met Mary Moore. They were married and then later
divorced. He then met Mary Emer. They were united in marriage Nov 6, 1971. They
moved to Neillsville, and Bob worked at the Neillsville Foundary for many years,
then at Nelson Filter, IGA and later at Figi’s. He was a member of St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Neillsville. Bob also served in the United States Navy.
Bob will be remembered for his great laugh and how he loved to pick on his
sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. He loved his vegetable and flower gardens
and enjoyed cooking, canning and sharing his produce with his family. He also
loved wood working, hunting, fishing and spent most of the winter ice fishing
with his wife, Mary. He also loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green
Bay Packers.
He is survived by his sisters, Karen (Ron) Moore of Merrillan, Carol (Bob) Heath
of Janesville and Darlene (Ron) Brunner of Eau Claire; and a sister-in-law,
Patricia Hulett of Black River Falls and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob
was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary; three brothers, Kenny,
Edward (Judy) and Wayne Hulett.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m.
to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s
Catholic Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the north shelter in Schuster’s Park
in Neillsville.
