Schmitt, Ralph Sr. (Field Rep. - 1979)
Named as a field representative for Wisconsin Dairies Cooperative’s producers in
Clark and Chippewa Counties was Ralph Schmitt, Sr., Neillsville. He has owned a
farm near Loyal for the past twelve years and his son, Ralph, Jr., is now
farming the 280 acres as well as milking 50 cows. The new agent and his wife,
Mary, have six children and ten grandchildren. He worked nearly four years as a
truck driver for Bletsoe Dairy. The Christie plant is receiving 140,000 pounds
of milk a day and making the fluid into cheddar cheese.
