Shock, Miles R. (Aug 1900 – 25 Apr 1973)
Miles Ryland Shock, 72, of Stanley, died Wednesday afternoon at Luther Hospital
in Eau Claire.
He was born in the Town of Edson (Chippewa Co.) in August of 1900 and married
Daisy May Latch in 1922 in the Town of Edson.
He was a veteran of the Navy and owned and operated the Yellowstone Implement
Co. of Stanley from 1924 to 1963.
He was a charter member of the Church of the Brethren in Stanley, Masonic Lodge,
American Legion, Stanley Rod and Gun Club and Chippewa County Republican Party.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Dr. Norman R. Shock, Sand Diego, Walter
and James, both of Stanley; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Wayne, Stanley; his mother,
Mrs. Eva Shock, Eau Claire; two sisters, Mrs. Allen Bergh and Mrs. Norma Lantz,
both of Eau Claire.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stanley Church of the Brethren, with
Reverend Larry Mooreland officiating. Burial was in Edson Union Cemetery.
