Miss Diane Baures206 1/2 E. Third Avenue, Wausau, and James Mroczenski,
Marathon, were married Saturday, April 26, 1973 at 2 p.m. in St. Bernard’s
Catholic Church, Thorp.
The Reverend Francis Brockman officiated at the rite. Roger Truckey was the
organist, and voice music was provided by the church choir.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Firmin Baures, Route 3, Thorp, and the
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mroczenski, Marathon.
The bride was attended by Miss Josi Smith, Route 2, Thorp, cousin of the bride,
as maid of honor, and Miss Darlene Baures, sister of the bride, and Miss Sand Mc
Candl?, 1114 ½ S Fifth Avenue, Wausau, as bridesmaids.
Any Hnung, Marathon, was the best man, and groomsmen were David Mroczenski,
Marathon, brother of the bridegroom, and Garold Neal, also of Marathon. Ushers
were Tim Seubert, Marathon, and Bill Baures, brother of the bride.
The bride’s floor length gown was styled with a high neckline and long cuffed
sleeves. She wore a mantilla veil and carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and
light blue miniature carnations. The bridesmaids wore long gowns of light blue
taffeta under a sheer fabric styled with high necklines and short puffed
sleeves. They carried small versions of the bridal bouquet.
The reception and dance were held at the Thorp American Legion Hall.
After a wedding trip to Kentucky, the couple will reside at 324 N. Third Avenue,
Wausau.
