Two years ago I tried out for the FFA Honors Band and was accepted. Unfortunately due to unforeseen obstacles I did not get to meet the members or have any performances. But I am happy to say that this past summer I was able to go to the FFA State convention in Madison and Wisconsin State fair to perform. I was the fifth chair saxophone and loved every minute of it. We are only with each other seven days of the year but with the director’s enthusiasm and our talents we created quite the performances. I did not realize how much fun this would be with the other kids coming from all over Wisconsin. Besides the three amazing directors who had more energy than us at times. I cannot wait to go back again next year and with hopefully a few more members from our chapter. If you come to the Wisconsin State Fair make sure to check the schedule and come see us!
