Milewski, Mike (22 Sep 1909 – 23 May 1973)
Mike Milewski, 63, passed away at his home of cancer on May 23, 1973. Funeral
services were held at The Thorp Funeral Home and St. Hedwig’s Chapel on
Saturday, May 26, 1973, at 10:30 a.m. Father John Puerner officiated and
interment was made in St. Hedwig’s Old Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Ed Maier, Alfred Zielanis, Harry Hodorowski, Richard Jarocki,
Paul Kowieski and Ben Jarocki.
Mike Milewski, a farmer, was born September 22, 1909 in the town of Hixon. He
lived in the town of Hixon and the town of Withee all his life, where he was
engaged in farming. On November 14, 1926 he was united in marriage to Jeanette
Teclaw at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Milewski; two sons, Leonard Milewski of
Arlington Heights, Illinois, Norbert Milewski of Des Plaines, Illinois; two
daughters, Dorothy Strzok of Palatine, Illinois, Joanne Milewski of Mount
Prospect, Illinois; one brother, Leo Milewski of Minneapolis, Minnesota; four
sisters, Ann Giwojna, Thorp, Sophie Rubisch, Vassar, Michigan, Bernice Solvach,
Thorp, and Marie Kinney of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
