Parker, Jay (Organist – 1979)
Jay Parker, a freshman agricultural student at the Granton High School, has been
selected by the state association of the Future Farmers of America to be the
official organist at a state FFA convention being held this week at Green Lake.
Jay, 14, is an accomplished musician, instructed by Elaine Smith, Neillsville.
Last summer he won the talent contest at the Clark County Fair.
Jay will attend the convention with his agriculture instructor, Francis Steiner.
Twenty-three years ago (1956), the Granton FFA furnished the first organist to
play at an FFA convention when Ronald Gluch, who now lives at Loyal, played.
