Bernard J. Weissinger, formerly Manager at Bloomer, has been named Manager of the Thorp Finance Corporation office in Rice Lake. Selected to succeed him as Manager of the firm’s office in Bloomer was Richard L. Hagen, the former Assistant Manager in Sparta.

Weissinger joined Thorp Finance at the Rice Lake office in 1967 and since then has served in offices at Chippewa Falls and Thorp, prior to his promotion to Manager at Bloomer in 1969. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for the Sterling Pulp and Paper Company and the Soo Line Railroad (Minneapolis) prior to starting his career in the finance field.

Hagen served at the firm’s office in eau Claire, Ashland, Bloomer and Sparta, and attended Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire.

A notive of Mondovi, Weissinger is married to the former Judith Stone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stone of Rock Falls, Wisconsin. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Roma Weissinger, reside in Durand. The couple and their four children will make their home in Rice Lake.

Hagen is married to the former Judy Geissler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Geissler of Cadott. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Florian A Hagen, reside in Durand.
