Martin, Connie (19 May 1973)

Miss Connie Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Martin of Gilman, became the bride of David Gulcynski, son of Mrs. Wanda Gulcynski of Thorp, on Saturday, May 19, 1973.

The ceremony was performed at 1:00 p.m. in St. Hedwig’s Chapel, with Father William Grelle officiating.

The bride chose a gown of Peau de Seau in Victorian Style. The yoke was of lace trimmed with sequins and the sleeves were full with fitted lace cuffs. The detachable train was of Peau de Seau, with lace and trim streaming down the center back. The veil was a floor length silks illusion on a cap crown with lace trim extending past the train. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations.

Mrs. Gulcynski was attended by Miss Sheila Stewart of Withee, maid of honor, Miss Nancy Hatfield, Thorp and Miss Harriet Spurgin, Medford, all friends of the bride. Vickie Martin, sister of the bride, attended as flower girl. The bridesmaids’ dresses were of pink knit crepe. The gowns were low scooped with white embroidered lace around the collar. The sleeves were short and puffy with embroidered lace. The empire waistline, with ties fell to a slightly gathered style. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.

The flower girl had a white lace dress with a gathered empire waistline, lace stand up collar and full seleves with fitted cuffs. She also carried white and pink carnations.

Serving as best man was Ed Strojny, a friend of the groom.

Roger Flashinski and Glenn Seaman, friends of the groom, were groomsmen.

Jerry Harycki and Galen Lechleitner, friends of the bride and groom, ushered.

A reception and dance followed at Koolmo’s Ballroom.

The newlyweds will be living in the Thorp area.
