The Doctorate of Education Degree was conferred on Miss Roberta Broeren in
commencement exercises at Way State University on June 15, 1973. The title of
her doctoral dissertation was “A Descriptive and Evaluative Study of the
Immediate and Residual Effects of Federally Funded Pre-School Programs on
Selected Characteristics Relating to Future School Success of High Risk
Children.”
Dr. Broeren, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Broeren of Thorp, is currently
Associate Professor of Education at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar
Falls, where she directs the Early Childhood Program.
