Foster, Frances B. (1884 – 25 Jun 1973)
Frances B. Foster, 88, died Monday evening at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley.
She was born in 1884 in Marathon County. She married August Foster in the Town
of Edson (Chippewa Co.) in 1902. The couple farmed in Edson until 1917, when
they moved to the Town of Worden (Clark Co.), where they farmed until 1947.
The couple had lived in Stanley since that time. She was a member of Holy Family
Catholic Church in Stanley.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond and John, both of Stanley; four daughters,
Mrs. Jack Heiting, Ladysmith, Mrs. James Tobin, Mrs. Ralph Schrenk, both of
Milwaukee, Mrs. Bernard Benzschawel, Boyd; a sister, Sister Mary Mathilda,
Manitowoc; a half-sister, Mrs. Marcella Roberts, Ladysmith; two half-brothers,
Louis, California, Albert, Minnesota; 36 grandchildren and 65
great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father
John Pinion officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
