Brotherton, Gwendolyn E. (30 July 1915 – 10 July 1979)

Gwendolyn E. Brotherton, 63, a former Neillsville area resident, passed away July 10 in a Smithville, Texas, hospital after a lingering illness. She was born to Alvin and Edna (Rosin) Brotherton in Colby on July 30, 1915. After graduating from Colby High School, she worked at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital for several years. She had been a resident of Bastrop, Texas, for the past eight years.

Surviving her are two brothers, George of Bastrop and Lloyd of Argentina, South America.

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon, July 13, from the Gesche Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with Clinton Goff officiating. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
