Quinnell, Ada (1896 - 10 Jul 1979)
The sister of Elizabeth Crothers, 301 Grand Ave., Neillsville, passed away July
10, in Eau Claire. The sister, Ada Quinnell, was born and raised in the Town of
Pine Valley. She was the valedictorian in the 1914 class at Neillsville High
School and then graduated from what was then Stevens Point Normal and is now
known as UW-Stevens Point. During her early years, she taught for two years in
the Pine Valley School.
Quinnell also took nursing training in Chicago’s Presbyterian Hospital. She
worked 30 years as a supervisor of out-patient treatment in Chicago hospitals,
retiring to Eau Claire in 1963.
The deceased, 65 (had to be 83, as Cemetery listing says b. 1896)years old at
the time of her death, was to be buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery
following July 14 services from Eau Claire’s Episcopal cathedral.
