Sniegowski, Cindee (27 Oct 1973)
Cindee Sniegowski became Mrs. R. Tim Harvey in a 1:30 ceremony at St. Hedwig’s
Catholic Church, Thorp, on October 27, 1973. She was given in marriage by her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Florian Sniegowski.
The bride wore a princess style ivory gown of layers of polycon accentuated at
the V-neckline and writs with Cluny lace. The cathedral length veil edged with
ivory Cluny lace flowed freely from a cloche styed headpiece. To appropriately
complete the ensemble, she carried a cascade of 3 large snow glamelias on
leather-leaf fern.
Janice Jaskot, maid of honor, wore an A-line taffeta gown of bod green and
purple plaid with a purple velvet bolero jacket outlined along the bodice and
cuffs with the same plaid. Elaine Jasinek, Milwaukee, Tricia Ogurek, Eau Claire,
and Martha Paff, Minneapolis, all friend of the bride, wore similar gowns with
the exception of the jacket, which were green velvet. They all carried
arrangements of a single purple glamelia on a handled stem entwined by velvet
covered leaves. The flower girl, Kim Schilling, Downers Grove, Illinois,
miniature bride, wore a miniature gown similar to that of the maid of honor,
with the same lower arrangement.
Dick Ihlenfeldt, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Greg
Kienzle, Webster City, Iowa, brother-in-law of the groom, Jeff Sniegowski,
Thorp, and Jerry Sniegowski, Rochester, Minnesota, both brothers of the bride.
Ring bearer was Kurt Kienzle, the groom’s nephew, and assistant to Fr. Will
Grelle was Gary Sniegowski. Ushers were Bob Johnson and Dick Urban of
Neillsville and friends of the couple.
Announcing the start of the ceremony was the instrumental of Whiter Shade of
Pale. Other selections throughout the service were Amazing Grace and Let It Be,
sung by Brad Gilbertson and accompanied by George Entzminger, friends of the
couple.
The reception was held at St. Hedwig’s Quonset Hall, followed by a traditional
Polish style dinner and competed with spirits and dancing to the music of Dan
Raflik and his Polka Pals of Stevens Point.
After their Canadian honeymoon, the couple will live in Neillsville, where the
groom will resume practice in optometry with Dr. John W. Foster.
