Outstanding Young Men of America (Awards - 1979)

The board of directors for the Outstanding Young Men of America Awards Program announced recently that three area men were named for inclusion in the 1979 edition of “Outstanding Men of America.”

Selected were Greg Foster, a student at pacific University in Forest Grove and son of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Foster, Neillsville; Roger Nitschke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Nitschke, Granton; and Bernard A. Maass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Maass, Rt. 3 Greenwood.

The three were selected from nominations received from U.S. Senators and Congressmen, governors, mayors, state legislators, university and college presidents and deans as well as various civic groups, including the Jaycees.
