Schilling, Leland L. (22 August 1916 – 30 July 1979)
Funeral services were recently held for Leland L. Schilling, 63, a former
resident of Neillsville, who passed away July 30, in Mount Washington Nursing
Home, Eau Claire. With the Rev. Herb Tiedemann of the First Baptist Church
officiating, burial was made in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.
Schilling was born August 22, 1916, in the Town of Levis. He was raised in
Altoona and then lived most of his life in Neillsville. A veteran of World War
II, he was a retired brakeman for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, having
served that company, having served that company for over 30 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Hoil of Phoenix, Ariz., one brother,
Lester of Detroit, Mich. Two sisters, Beula Planert of Eau Claire and Beatrice
Schlewitz of Altoona, and two grandchildren.
