Wirkuty, Alvin (1935? – 4 September 2021) With Flag
Alvin Wirkuty, 86, of Neillsville passed away Sept. 4, 2021, at Froedtert
Hospital in Milwaukee. Born to Anton and May Blood Wirkuty, Al grew up in the
Plainfield and later York Township of Clark Co. areas. He served in the army on
the front lines in Korea. Al was a member of the Gross-Yakish VFW Post 6498 of
Milwaukee.
After marrying Alice Gall, they lived in Milwaukee, raised their two children in
Waukesha and then eventually moved back to Neillsville. He became an ironworker
for Local 8 in Milwaukee, eventually owning his own erecting business for many
years.
Surviving him are both children, three grandchildren, seve3ral
great-grandchildren, along with other family and friends, all who were a big
part of his life.
A private family service will be held with burial in St. Mary ‘s Parish
Cemetery, Neillsville.
