Selma V. “Tucker” Ecke (nee Knight)

Selma V. “Tucker” Ecke, 86, of 1533 Alexander Court, died peacefully, at her home, early Monday morning, Dec. 4, 1995.

Our mother was born in Owen, Wis., on Sept 25, 1909 to our grandparents, Allen and Helga Botterude Knight.

On June 12, 1943, she married our father, Levi H. “Butch” Ecke in Curtiss, Wis., who preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1992. They moved to Sheboygan in 1950.

She was a loving wife and mother and a friend to all. Her caring, thoughtful and fun-loving nature was enjoyed by everyone who knew her. She will be missed by many.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Her family includes her daughters, Sheila Ecke, Sharon (Jim) Kupchick, Sharrol (Tom) Butzen; her grandchildren, Jody (Dave) Cerfus, Jerry Lee Adams, Anna and Eric Butzen; her great-grandchildren, Brittany Adams and Mariah Baima, Pearl Lokken and Betty (Orville) Thorson. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, two sisters and three brothers.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, pastor of St, Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 5 p.m. until the hour of services.
