Haas, Mary (26 May 1973)

Miss Mary Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Haas of Thorp, became the bride of William Badzinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Badzinski of Thorp.

The double ring nuptial Mass was performed by Father William Grelle on May 26, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Hedwig’s Chapel. The music was sung by Mary Neisius and accompanied by Mrs. Jerry Asbeck on the organ.

The groom was escorted to the altar by his parents, and the bride was given in marriage by her parents. For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of sata peau and Chantilly lace. The empire bodice was adorned with lace appliques and pearl trim. A pleated ruffle accented the scoop neck, the cuff on the full bishop sleeves and a t the hem of the A-line skirt laced with Chantilly lace. To complete her total look she chose a matching Camelot headpiece secured by a chapel length mantilla edged in matching Chantilly lace. She carried a cascade of lavender orchids and ivy.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Kristine Haas, sister of the bride, and her bridesmaids were Tina Badzinski, is sister of the groom, Ginger Badzinski, sister of the groom, Karol Haas, sister of the bride, and Jeanne Przybylski, cousin of the bride. The maid of honor wore lavender and the bridesmaids wore pink, dotted Swiss over taffeta with mandarin collar, empire waist and bishop sleeves, all with lace trim. Each carried colonial bouquets of pastel daisies and baby’s breath.

The groom’s attendants were Richard Kodl, brother-in-law of the groom, as best man, Kieth Haas, brother of the bride, Thomas Haas, brother of the bride, Dennis Shewezyk, cousin of the groom, and Dennis Meyer, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Jim Kobylarczyk brother-in-law of the bride, and Andy Pawlak, friend of the groom.

A reception and dinner was held at St. Hedwig’s Quonset.
