Johnson, Irma A. (Award - 1979)

The National Secretaries Association recently announced the award of “Certified Professional Secretary” to Irma A. Johnson, who is presently employed as a secretary in the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.

The rating evidences the fulfillment of a prescribed period of education, satisfactory secretarial experience and the successful completion of a two-day comprehensive examination in the areas of behavioral science in business, business’ law, economics and management, accounting, secretarial skills, decision making, office procedures and administration.

In 1979, there were 2,081 experienced secretaries and 271 students taking the test for the first time. Out of the 271, under 170 secretaries and two students passed.
