St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church was the August 18 afternoon site for the
sharing of nuptials by Kari Lou Boyer and Ronald Waltemate. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Boyer, Rt. 1 Neillsville, while the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Waltemate, Rt. 4 Neillsville.
With the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating, the bride’s father presented her
to the altar. Music was offered by Kathy Quast as vocalist and Paul Tess and
organist. The bride’s entrained gown was of white taffeta fashioned with lace
bodice inserts and nylon sleeves caught by wife lade cuffs and her appearance
was enhanced by a matching lace headpiece which held a short veil.
Serving as Maid of honor was Shari Boyer, the twin sister of the bride. She was
joined by Carla Schoengarth of Neillsville and Pam Boyer of Stratford. The
bridesmaids’ gowns were of yellow, blue and pink dotted Swiss nylon, with each
wearing a headband of matching roses.
The bride carried a bouquet of pink, blue, yellow and white roses while the
bridesmaids each carried one long stem rose of a color matching their gowns.
Serving as bestman was Bruce Boyer of Neillsville, who is a brother of the
bride. With him were Dave Taylor of Hingham, a brother-in-law of the groom, and
Roger Waltemate, Neillsville, a brother of the groom. Ushering were Larry Boyer
of Neillsville and Darrel Durham of Hatley.
Shawn Ruzic of Greenwood, the bride’s nephew, and Misty Boyer, of Neillsville,
the bride’s niece, wee ringbearer and flower girl.
After the service, a reception was held at the Wildcat Inn. Prenuptial events
included a shower in early August, hosted by a sister of the bride, Brenda
Ruzic.
The bride a 1979 graduate of Neillsville High School is employed as a baby
sitter. The groom a 1978 graduate of the same school and is employed as a welder
for Nelson Industries, Neillsville. The couple will make their home at 129 Main
St. Greenwood.
