Stracker, Everett H. (1901? – 13 Jul 1973)
A service for a former Modesto resident, Everett H. Stracker, 72, was held
Tuesday in the Shannon Chapel, Orange, formerly of Thorp. Burial was in the
Woodlawn Cemetery, Santa Monica.
Stracker, who lived in the Modesto area some 30 years before moving to Southern
California in the 1950’s, died July 13, 1973. He was an electrician and was
employed several years by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Modesto. He
also was a fireman with the Modesto Fire Department.
Everett was the only son of Herman Stracker, who was the First Superintendent of
the Electric Light Plant. He was a graduate of the 1918 class in Thorp High
School.
Survivors include a son, Everett H. Stracker Jr. of Orange; daughters, Theo Dean
Dolling of Modesto and Kathy E. Stracker of Sunland; sisters, Alma Holzhausen
and Lorena Baldwin, both of Stockton, Elsie McPherson and Lilly Tillson, both of
Santa Cruz, and Inez Sager of San Carlos, and three grandsons.
