Lindner, Louis E. (12 Dec 1972 – 17 Sep 2021)
Lewis Edward Lindner, 48, Woodstock, Va., formerly of Greenwood, passed away on
Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, after a long battle with multiple myeloma. A memorial
mass will be held at 8:30 a.m., on Sunday, Oct. 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Greenwood.
Lewis was born on Dec. 12, 1972, in Marshfield, the son of Josephine Ann and
Lawrence Sylvester Lindner. Lewis attended school at St. Mary’s in Greenwood and
Greenwood High School, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in
Menomonie. Above all, Lewis loved his family, friends, and laughter. He also
loved fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He often ended the day exclaiming,
“That was fun, I had a lot of laughs.”
He is survived by his wife, Rita Lindner, of Woodstock, Va.; two daughters:
Hannah (Nathan) Pforr of Centreville, Va., and Audrey (Anthony) Lloyd of Front
Royal, Va.; his mother, Josephine Lindner of Loyal; his brothers: Alan (Darla)
Lindner of Burnsville, Minn., and Roger (Kristi) Lindner of Eau Claire; his
sisters: Ann Blades of Woodstock, Va., and Carla (Rick) Rogstad of Eau Claire;
and a sister-in- law, Ann Lindner, of Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Ralph; and his sister, Mary
Jo.
Memorial contributions can be made to Furry Friends Rescue Inc., 486 N. Main
St., Woodstock, VA, in Lewis’s name.
