Last Wednesday, the city of Thorp received $5,000 from the state on purchase of
a new 1973 Pontiac ambulance. The rest of the $14,000 cost of the ambulance and
equipping of it will be made up by the local taxpayers, Mayor Frank Wadzinski
reported.
On hand for the occasion were Clerk/Treasurer Russell Mad’ Police Chief Rich
Boie; Fire Chief Robert Bodamer, Margaret O’Brien, field representative,
division of highway safety coordination, and Mayor Wadzinski.
