Grawberg, Elaine (28 September 1979)
St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Southfield, Michigan was the September 28 site of
the wedding of Elaine Grawberg of Marquette, Michigan, and James G. McCauley,
also of Marquette. The parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Grawberg,
Southfield, Michigan, while the parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. James A.
McCauley, Rt. 2 Neillsville. The Rev. Michael Dally officiated at the nuptial
mass.
Carol Yambik, a sister of the bride from Berkeley, Michigan, was matron of
honor. She was joined by Jill Smith of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mary Hathem,
Detroit, Michigan.
Serving as bestman was Victor LaDuke, Marquette, who was joined by Lt. Randy
McKevitt of Ft. Devens, Massachusetts, and Robert Lee, Livonia, Michigan. All
were attired in dove gray tuxedos with pastel blue shirts and had blue silk
carnations.
The bride’s gown was of ivory chiffon with a French lace bodice and featured a
chapel-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white silk roses and carnations.
The bride’s attendants were attired in pastel blue, floral peasant-style gowns
and they carried colonial bouquets similar to the brides.
After a Florida wedding trip, the couple will reside in Marquette.
