With Chaplain Rector, Jr., a U.S. Navy Chaplain, officiating, Aleksandra Nagy
and Brian A. Borchardt were united in marriage during ceremonies on September
22, in the Charleston, S.C., Eternal Father of the Sea Chapel.
The parents of the bride, who is with the U.S. Navy in Naples, Italy, are
Michael and Rasma Nagy, Rt. 1 Neillsville. Parents of the groom, who is also
with the U.S. Navy and stationed at Charleston, are Arthur and Diana Borchardt,
Wausau.
With her father giving her away, the bride chose a lace-trimmed, long gown,
featuring a below the shoulder veil. She carried a small bouquet.
Serving as maid of honor was Milda Nagy, a sister of the bride. She was attired
in a floor-length powdered blue chiffon gown and carried blue carnations. John
Ingram, Charleston, was bestman. Ushering was Dale Stocks, also of Charleston.
Following the service, a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Warwick, friends of the newly married couple.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School, attended UW-Eau Claire and
graduated from the U.S. Navy’s Communications School, San Diego, Calif. The
groom a graduate of Wausau High School, also completed the same communications
school. Both are serving in the U.S. Navy. A wedding trip was postponed.
