Harwick, Marlene Valeria (22 September 1935 - 5 October 2021)
Marlene Valeria (Jakubowski) Harwick passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday,
October 5, 2021.
Malene was born in Milwaukee, on September 22, 1935, to Edward and Leah
(Quicker) Jakubowski. She graduated in 1953 from Granton High School. On June
25, 1955, she married Charles Harwick in Granton. They shared 66 years together.
Marlene was a homemaker; she spent her life taking care of her family. She
enjoyed reading, sewing and going on fishing trips.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Charles, a son, Mark (Kathy) Harwick,
daughters, Linda (Dan) Germann, Penny (Roger) Briggs, seven grandkids and
fourteen great grandkids.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jake Jakubowski. and a
son, Paul Harwick.
A Memorial Service for Marlene will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15,
2021, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will
officiate. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls, WI
at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, October
15, at the Gesche Funeral Home.
