Lt. Wanous is Commandant (1979)
Cpt. John D. Muchow, commander Detachment 1, 32nd Engineer Company, Wisconsin
Army National Guard of Neillsville, formally turned the command of the
detachment over to First Lt. Brian M. Wanous, Sunday morning, October 21, 1979.
Lt. Wanous operates his own machine shop, Rt. 3 Neillsville.
Prior to the change of command ceremonies, Cpt. Muchow presented letters of
commendation to SFCS. William D. Warren and Frederick W. Kieser, Neillsville;
Platoon Sgt. John J. Zepaltas, Altoona; First Lt. Bill G. Koch, Onalaska, and
First Lt. Brian M. Wanous, Neillsville. In addition, Cpt. Muchow commended the
entire unit for their performance both at annual training and during the weekend
training assemblies while under his command.
Cpt. Muchow will assume command of the 105th Cavalry Troop, Wisconsin Army
National Guard, in Baraboo and Reedsburg. Muchow is a Rt. 1 Reedsburg, resident.
