Verna is lovingly survived by her children: Darlene Halvorson of Abbotsford, Roger Gumz of Wisconsin Rapids, Douglas Gumz of Marshfield, Charlotte (Jeffrey) Johnson of Spencer, and Gloria (Dennis) Gerstl of Wausau. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Verna is preceded in death by her husband: Frank Gumz; parents: Edwin and Louise Guth; sibling: Alvin Guth, as well as her son: Gerald Gumz.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Brooklawn Cemetery in Marshfield.
