Beyerl, Barbara (Wool Contest - 1979)
On her way to San Diego, California, is Barbara Beyerl, a Colby resident, who
took first place in a state-wide “Make-It-With-Wool” contest recently held in
Madison. Barbara was one of two first place finishers in a district contest in
Neillsville, held in Mid-October and coordinated by Lois Wohlfeil of the
Neillsville High School faculty. Barbara’s entry, a dark brown, Harris Tweed,
Chesterfield-style coat, earned her the free trip to national competition in
January.
