Jakobi, William C. (17 March 1895 – 31 October 1979)

William C. Jakobi, 84, a former area resident and now of Bakersfield, Calif., died October 31 in a nursing home in El Monte, Calif. He was born March 17, 1895, in the Sheboygan area to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jakobi. He was married July 17, 1918, in Neillsville to Jennie Eibergen. The couple lived in Clark County and Antigo before moving to California in 1949. She died March 30, 1978.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Jeanette) Steener of Kaukauna and Mrs. Jed (Geraldine) Persall of West Salem, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, John of
Greenwood and Roland of Granton, and two sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Anita) Schmitt of Belgium and Mrs. William (Margaret) Denzin, Medford. Three brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 9, from the Rux Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev. Charles Strong of the First United Methodist Church of Spencer officiated. Burial was in the Veefkind Cemetery in the Town of Sherman. Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
