Johnson, Lloyd I. (15 October 1926 – 11 November 1979)
Lloyd I. Johnson, 53, passed away suddenly following a lingering illness on
November 11 in Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Johnson was born on October 15,
1926, in Greenwood to Leo and Tressa (Rown) Johnson. After receiving his
education in the rural Greenwood schools, he worked at various jobs in Greenwood
and Neillsville and then worked for Nelson Muffler in 1947, retiring in 1977. On
January 18, 1947, he married Delores Hardwick in Humbird ceremonies.
Johnson was a member of the Neillsville United Church of Christ and the National
Rifle Association.
Surviving him besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. James (Susan) Ratsch of
Granton and Mrs. Steve (June) Siebert of Neillsville; one son Lloyd W., of
Beloit; four sisters, Mrs. Donald (Donna) Brandt of Pittsville, Mrs. Clarence
(Linda) Krause of Neillsville, Mrs. Burnell (Brenda) Johnson of Ridgeway and
Mrs. Donald (Helen) Anderson of Niagara, Five brothers, Allen Johnson of
Lakeland, Fla., Lyall Johnson, Chester Johnson and Keith Noah, all of
Neillsville, and Carl Noah of Greenwood, two grandchildren, and his mother, Mrs.
Tressa Noah, Greenwood. Preceding him in death, were his father and one sister
in infancy.
Memorial services were to be on Wednesday, November 14, for Lloyd I. Johnson, at
the United Church of Christ. The body, after cremation, was to be interred in
Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. The Rev. Gary Clark officiated with the Gesche
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
