Washburn, Wesley M. (18 November 1904 - 11 November 1979) With Flag

Funeral services for Wesley M. Washburn, 74, were held Wednesday afternoon, November 14, from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville with burial in the Lake View Cemetery, Eau Claire. The Rev. Alvin Ebert was to officiate at the services.

Mr. Washburn, Humbird, and of late a resident of the Pine View Nursing Home, Black River Falls, passed away there on November 11. He had been a resident of the home for one week.

Washburn was born on November 18, 1904, in Humbird, to Frank and Elizabeth (Taylor) Washburn. After receiving his education in the Humbird Schools, he worked for Uniroyal Rubber Company in Eau Claire for many years. He was retired at the time of his death.

He was a member of the Humbird American Legion Post. He had married Ruby Card in Winona, Mn. She preceded him in death as did his three brothers. Surviving him is one brother, Asa Washburn, Black River Falls.
