Wesenberg, Constance (Diploma - 1979)
Eleven students, including Constance Wesenberg, Rt. 1 Granton, in a ward clerk
program, received diplomas at Mid-State Technical Institute’s Marshfield’ campus
auditorium, Thursday night. December 20.
Mrs. Jeanne Batten, R.N. instructor for the program, at Mid-State, was the
commencement speaker. Wanda Wallis, chairman of Mid-States’ health occupations
division, gave the welcoming address and distributed the diplomas.
Ward clerk is a less than one-year vocational diploma program. Students learn to
receive new patients, maintain records and patients’ charts and answer
telephones and intercoms to patients. Students also learn to handle messages
between departments, transcribe physicians’ order, maintain inventory of
supplies and make out purchase requisitions.
