Wepfer, Elizabeth “Minnie” (22 Dec 1886 – 7 December 1979)

Services were held Monday afternoon from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville for Elizabeth “Minnie” Wepfer, 92. She passed away December 7, in Mt. Sinai Hospital, Milwaukee, after a brief illness. He had been a Milwaukee resident for several years. Burial was to be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery and the Rev. Gary Clark of the Neillsville United Church of Christ officiated.

The deceased was born December 22, 1886, in Pittsville to William and Anna (Stauhli) Wepfer. After receiving her education in Neillsville for The Clark County Press for over 40 years. She then moved to Waukesha, where she was employed for several years, prior to retirement, as a dining room hostess at Behrens Health Spa. She was a 50-year member of Carmi Chapter of Neillsville’s Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving her is a sister-in-law, Mrs. Emil Wepfer, Marshfield and four nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were four brothers, Conrad, Henry, Adolph and Emil.
